Friends of the Carrs Spring Clean

Come along to the Carrs to help us with our spring clean! We will be planting wildflower turf and lifting the old turf, sowing some wildflower seeds and creating willow hurdles to protect seeded areas.  All of this and alongside general clean-up activities including litter picking, lifting self-seeded trees, and cutting back willow along the river.  There is something for anyone of any age or ability to get involved in. Riverbank Restoration Working Party

Join us to carry out restoration of a riverbank in Bowdon with volunteers from Friends of Bowdon Bollin. We will be restoring areas of riverbank where they have eroded using willow and hazel rods, which also boosts the natural habitat as well as restoring areas where riverbank has been lost.
